Steph Taylor

I qualified as a chartered Physiotherapist in 1992 from Birmingham University and completed a diploma in Sports Medicine from St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 1997. More recently I have completed a master’s degree in Clinical and Health Research from Southampton University.

I have worked in the NHS specialising in treating musculoskeletal conditions for many years and at present work at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, where I use Pilates in my day-to-day treatments. As a physiotherapist I am used to adapting exercises to suit individual needs and abilities and am therefore flexible in my classes and approach to the pilates exercises.

Background & qualifications

I trained to become a Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI) and completed my training in 2005. I started instructing Pilates classes in Oxford in 2007 initially starting with post-natal Pilates classes and then developed further evening Pilates classes that cater for a wide range of ages and abilities.
